Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Sleepy Hollow is conveniently located just five miles north of the Tappan Zee Bridge in Westchester County. This satellite facility which is located on the campus of Phelps Memorial Hospital Center has provided outpatient care since 1995. As a member of the team, you will perform and maintain competency in the technical and related work of the Hematology Laboratory. Manage the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York DHSS, OSHA, and CLIA regulations. Provide technical expertise and guidance on all laboratory matters. Assure compliance with MSKCC P&P's, and regulatory agency requirements. Develop, implement, and monitor the quality assurance plan, oversee daily operations and promote a safe environment. Annually review and revise site specific P& P's in collaboration with the MSKCC Laboratory, the Laboratory Director and the Clinical Director. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science required. Hematology Credentialing. Meet the New York State Clinical Laboratory supervisory requirements with 6 years minimum experience in Hematology. New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License Experience in writing SOP's and manuals. Excellent phlebotomy skills. Knowledge of laboratory policy and procedures and regulations. Excellent computer, mathematical calculations, verbal and written communication skills.
