Performs and maintains competency in the technical and related work of the Hematology Laboratory. Manages the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York DHSS, OSHA, and CLIA regulations. Provide technical expertise and guidance on all laboratory matters. Assures compliance with MSKCC P&P's, and regulatory agency requirements. Develops, implements, and monitors the quality assurance plan, oversees daily operations and promotes a safe environment. Annually reviews and revises site specific P& P's in collaboration with the MSKCC Laboratory, the Laboratory Director and the Clinical Director. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science required. Hematology Credentialing required. ASCP preferred. Meet the requirements for the New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensure. 3 years minimum experience in writing SOP's and manuals, excellent phlebotomy skills, knowledge of laboratory policy and procedures and regulations. Excellent computer, mathematical calculations, verbal and written communication skills. Days: Monday thru Friday, Hours: 7:45AM-6:00PM (7.5 hour shift) We offer an excellent salary and comprehensive benefits, including tuition reimbursement.
